Narrative Description of Project:

This project was aimed for: water quantity rules development in the Mekong River Basin; hydro-meteorological network improvement; hydrological monitoring in the Mekong river, hydraulic modeling; hydro-meteorological studies, data gap fillings and database development, and capacity build up of the line agencies in the riparian countries.

Description of Actual Services Provided by Your Staff:

Investigated existing situation of hydro-meteorological database in the basin, developed database in HYMOS, and filled up daily rainfalls data gaps using Makov Chain phenomenon and stochastic methods. Developed a computer programme for discharge rating curves development curves at stations of Mekong River.
